Relaxing atmosphere and beautiful location. Friendly service and not at all pushy. The staff was attentive and pleasant to have around.
The atmosphere and ambience of the establishment is well-suited to the scenery and the style of it's owners. The food is delicious, and certain menu offerings sound strange enough to balk at ($22 for fried chicken and slaw??) but have a reputation of surprising and satisfying skeptics. Make no mistake though, despite the delicious nature of almost all of the menu, the pricing is reflective of "fine dining" and is subject to a certain premium in price and the accepted portion and plating that this distinction would imply.
and tasteless, Swedish meatballs were purchased at some Whole sale grocery store, I think and therefore very disappointing in taste.
I would recommend this establishment to others, but it's price exceeds my.means to frequent it. If the menu doesn't give you sticker shock, you're likely to become a regular.
Neat place. Good food. Great views of the lake. They have a fire pit outside. I enjoyed the signature cocktails and craft beer.
Oysterbar and appetizer table excellent. Grilled veggies, squash spaghetti dish and Quinoa salad really really good, and then desert on paper plates????
Our best year on Thanksgiving was 2016 at Birch's on the lake. We all love Birch's and we will be back. Hopefully it will be a much better experience.
The service was absolutely terrible. Our waitress barely even the one helping us. She spilled water on our table and didn't bother to clean it up. Someone else brought us our food but it was cold before we got it because she gave them the wrong table. Sadly, the best thing in the meal was the corn on the cob. The food is overpriced for the quality. The only good thing was that a different waiter was great and helped us and even brought us a free desert. However, they all look at the tip (which was still a decent tip despite service) before we had barely left.
Thanksgiving dinner: Turkey too dry, dressing was like mashed potatoes
I found the service to be efficient and attentive, though each of the staff's charm and charisma does vary substantially. Most servers are excellent at being present when necessary and invisible otherwise.
The location and set up is well designed with 3 dining/bar levels... Supperclub, Brewhouse and the deck. The lake view is appealing. However, the value for your hard earned money is extremely poor. The level of service and food quality/quantity does not justify the expensive dinner and bar menus. You're better off visiting their happy hour special when available... it's a better reflection of their value. The Brewhouse and Deck levels are fun areas to connect with friends.
